- Prioritize and process print and copy requests for university departments, student organizations, and outside customers.
- Provide information to customers regarding print shop services, materials, layout options, and price quotes.
- Provide finishing services including, but not limited to, folding, collating, binding, creasing, scoring, and cutting.
- Operate and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Place service calls and communicate with service technicians to help solve equipment performance issues by providing samples of the problem.
- Maintain inventory, replenish paper stock and order other supplies needed for print shop machines.
- Manage account access and supplies for Multi-Functional Duplication equipment (MFDs)
- Process monthly billing for the print shop in collaboration with the University Business Office
- Promptly submit invoice requests for external jobs to the University Business Office, and manage payments accordingly
- Cross train in, and Provide back-up support for, the mailroom and receiving during staff absence and peak times
- Provide back-up support to other campus areas in the summer including, but not limited to, Facilities and Campus Services
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 5 years' experience working in or managing a digital print shop.
- Operation of Cannon image runner advance (C9065 and 8085) a plus.
- Excellent math skills.
- Experience in Wide Format printing and maintenance.
- Excellent file management and storage skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Use of Outlook for email and calendar
- Competent computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite Publisher, Adobe PDF, and Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator
- Knowledge of Fiery software and experience with Command Work Station a plus.
- Knowledge in digital color management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type.
- Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with frequent interruptions.

- Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Sufficient strength, physical dexterity and ability to perform duties and responsibilities of position
- Must be able to handle common printing and cleaning chemicals that are used in the maintenance of equipment.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record mandatory
- Insurable under the University's insurance plan.
- Forklift license is required
- Must have excellent math and organizational skills
- Must be flexible in your schedule and work well under pressure
- Ability to work overtime, and support large campus events including, but not limited to, First Year Student Move-in and Orientation Weekend, Homecoming, and Commencement
- Neat appearance necessary
- Must be able to work in inclement weather
- Ability to handle and transport chemicals with proper safety gear
