    Job Summary

    As a Yamaha certified Marine Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of marine vehicles. Your contributions are essential to our commitment to providing outstanding service and quality, ensuring that our customers have safe and enjoyable boating experiences.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines and vessels to guarantee optimal performance.
    • Effectively utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments during repair tasks.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues and offer timely, accurate solutions.
    • Interact with customers, assisting with inquiries regarding boat maintenance and repairs to enhance their experience.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support during the sales process.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
    • Document detailed records of maintenance work performed on each vessel.
    • Stay informed about the latest marine technology and repair practices.

    Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Marine Technician certifications are a plus, along with manufacturer certification (Boat or Engine).
    • Current and valid driver's license.
    • Solid understanding of marine systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment preferred.
    • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the marine industry.
    • Up-to-date Yamaha certification within the last 2 years.
    • Strong customer service skills for effective communication with clients.
    • Ability to weld and work with sheet metal is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and vehicle maintenance practices.
    • Proficient in the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools.
    • Basic understanding of sales processes related to vehicle maintenance is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
