    About the Role

    The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and TMS teams to ensure that all goods and materials are delivered on site on time. This includes ensuring accurate logistic data elements, preparing and analyzing spreadsheets, making transportation recommendations, and evaluating/processes escalations and other issues as needed.

    You will also be responsible for preparing and conducting QBRs with assigned carriers, updating and communicating requested ship date and delivery dates in TMS and SAP per SOP, reviewing open orders daily and backlog, and updating track and trace reporting for availability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and TMS teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
    • Ensure accurate logistic data elements are in place.
    • Prepare and analyze spreadsheets for upload to our transportation management system.
    • Makes transportation recommendations based on fluctuating/seasonal needs.
    • Evaluate/processes escalations and other issues as needed.

    Requirements

    • 3-5 years of logistics experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to find creative solutions to problems.
    • Intermediate experience with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
    • Familiar with Rate Structure and Invoice Processing.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of drayage network, Over the Road Dispatching, Intermodal Transportation, and customs clearance.
    • Physical demands include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or adding machine.
