We are looking for a passionate, service-driven individual to join the Partnership 4 Kids team as a reduced part-time AmeriCorps Service Member.
Partnership 4 Kids (P4K) offers Omaha youth a solid foundation for lifelong success, stewarding them through critical academic transitions and preparing them to successfully achieve higher education and financial stability.
It is our mission to engage and inspire students from preschool to graduation, guiding them to success with individualized support, career exploration, and scholarships.
Partnership 4 Kids operates in 10 different Omaha Public Schools between Middle School and High School.P4K is hiring a?Community Resource Specialist-?AmeriCorps Member.
This?AmeriCorps Service Member?will complete an 11-month assignment to complete 675 total service hours with a biweekly living allowance valued at $ This position will involve getting to know students at each of the schools we serve and developing relationships with them to best guide them to the appropriate school, agency, or community resources.

Responsibilities
Build positive relationships with students and families to understand their unique academic needs and connect them to the resources they need
Serve as an advocate for students, communicating about their education and any barriers to their academic success
Use appropriate materials and technology to research and connect students to necessary and relevant resources
Maintain clear documentation of student needs and academic progress
Utilize various databases to track and document student progress and resources needed
Position Requirements
Work or volunteer experience with youth populations
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Proven ability to build positive relationships with diverse populations
The completion of two or more years of postsecondary education
Knowledge of learning disabilities, varying exceptionalities, and other academic deficits
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (fluency in English)
Strong time management skills and ability to manage a flexible schedule
Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed
Daily access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Availability to work an average of 18 hours per week.
Eligibility Requirements
At least two years of college credits or the equivalent of an Associate's degree
High school diploma
Hold one of the following citizenship or legal residency statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card status), and persons legally residing within a state.
