    $130-140k/yearly

    Our global nonprofit client focused on disease prevention is seeking an experienced Accounting Director to lead their US and international teams in a high visibility leadership role.

    Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
    CPA highly preferred
    8+ years in hands on complex global accounting in GAAP, IFRS compliance
    Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and lead teams across the world effectively.
    Experience managing 5+ direct reports domestic and international.
    Global payroll reconciliation and compliance experience
    Experience in complex global organization in nonprofit or similar industry required.
    Advanced excel, Quickbooks, Agresso/NetSuite or equivalent accounting software.
    Ability to create structure and definition in situations that are uncertain environment.
    ERP implementation experience required.
    Responsibilities
    Oversees the monthly financial close process to ensure timely distribution of financial financials.
    Prepares consolidated and deconsolidated P&L and Balance Sheet
    Provides accounting assistance to Global and Boston Operation teams.
    Reviews monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
    Ensure consolidated and de-consolidated financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP statutory requirements.
    Ensures proper recording and tracking of fixed assets.
    Completes quarterly expense sampling to ensure donor compliance.
    Reviews sub-ledger posting of Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy.
    Records revenue in compliance with Accounting Standards update.
    Ensure proper submission of allocation files and time sheets for expense allocations.
    Provide supervision and support to the global accounting team.
    Supports country finance operations on accounting-related issues.
    Support Global HR and Payroll with the review of salary advance request.
    Coordinates with Payroll to ensure reconciliation of wire transfers to payroll registers.
    Assist HR with the management of the Cobra repayments.
    Coordinate global annual statutory audit.
    Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit.
    Populates and coordinates data for the filing of corporate nonprofit tax returns (990)
    Provide support for country finance staff with countries' statutory audits.
    Serves as lead for statutory audits in non-program countries across the globe.
    Coordinates with global finance staff for donor audits and assessments
    Lead preparation of NICRA calculation for submission to USAID
    Support the completion of the organization's retirement plan audit.
