    Job Description

    Position Summary


    This position will manage the finance integrations and payroll journal line data between PeopleSoft Financials and Workday to ensure payroll accounting entries are able to post timely and accurately.

    This requires oversight of General Ledger tables and project costing in PeopleSoft Financials, and active engagement with other workstreams to maintain accuracy.

    This position collaborates with payroll teams from various agencies assisting them to resolve issues and educating on correct finance procedures.

    Salary

    Up to $63,800.00

    Position Responsibilities


    • Works as a member of the General Ledger team in Central Accounting & Reporting to maintain integration between Workday and PeopleSoft Financials.
    • Coordinates with payroll teams and tech teams to troubleshoot and resolve accounting issues arising from Workday time entry. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Monitors and responds to assigned Service Desk cases to provide timely resolution.
    • Assists in testing for upgrades and new rollouts, fixes, service packs or other system changes to assure no interruptions occur.
    • Assists with developing and maintaining training manuals, documentation and schedules for distribution to user groups as well as providing training to new users in system utilization and functionality.
    • Ensures accurate and timely execution of tasks necessary to meet production and project deadlines.
    • Other duties as assigned. The functions described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by agency demands.
    Education and Experience


    Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business, Computer Sciences or related field; and at least one year of experience in financial management or information technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Required Skills and Experience

    Knowledge and utilization of the PeopleSoft Financials modules

    Preferred:
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


    • Experience in Workday accounting
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and statewide accounting policy
    • Experience with SQL Tools and Developer
    • Ability to analyze database transactions
    • High degree of interpersonal skills, in both verbal and written communications, as well as presentation skills.
    • Ability to test functionality of code modifications, system upgrades and service patches to Workday and PeopleSoft Financials.
