Description

Immediate need with industry leading airline support company for an Accounting Manager, a key member of our rapidly growing business.

Reporting to the Controller, you will manage and work with members of the Accounting team, which is responsible for timely financial close and compliance with GAAP and financial reporting.

You will be instrumental in helping manage our day-to-day accounting processes and be a key player in our operational improvements, financial statements audits, and compliance requirements as our business continues to grow.

In addition, you will help scale our accounting operations (documentation, processes, and systems) and assist with implementing, documenting, and testing related controls and policies.

ResponsibilitiesManage month end close process including establishing close calendars and deadlines, and reviewing journal entriesPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliationsSupport interim and annual financial audits with our external auditorsWorks with departments external to accounting to ensure integrity of accounting controls, processes, and proceduresSpecial projects as assigned by managementParticipates in integration of acquired companiesOther duties as assigned.

QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of US GAAPAbility to work independently5 years of prior accounting experienceCertified Public AccountantExcellent accuracy and attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong leadership and critical thinking skillsProficiency in NetSuite and Blackline is a plusPrior management experience is preferred.
