Damar Services is looking for a talented and motivated Pharmacist.Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist is responsible for the full practice of pharmacy in accordance with applicable regulatory statues and accreditation standards; interpreting prescription orders, packaging, labeling, dispensing, administering and distribution of drugs and devices; accepts full responsibility as Pharmacy Manager of the site as defined in the Indiana Board of Pharmacy statutes, and other requirements as defined by DEA, AAAHC, 340B and other accreditation requirements.

Responsible for medications received, drug storage, inventory control, pricing, and record maintenance.
Supervises staff and workflow processes.
Facilitates the professional development of staff.
Accepts responsibility for maintaining and updating knowledge of all new and existing policies and procedures and participates in education of staff.
Holds and leads routine staff meetings to communicate key information.Implements and assists in the training and orientation program for all new employees.
Reviews and approves travel expense reports.
Ensures legal and reporting requirements.
Responsible for submitting reports and logs to Director of Pharmacy.
Participates in center and provider meetings regarding pharmacy operations, updates, pricing changes and drug availability.
Treats patients, staff and visitors with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect.
Adheres to Quality Policy and participates actively in Quality Improvement Process activities.
Participates in cross training activities.
Responsible for physical appearance of the Pharmacy to include all housekeeping, cleanliness, neatness, sanitary conditions, and orderly filing of Pharmacy data.
Exposure to chemicals and inhalation of antibiotics during reconstitution.Must utilize universal precautions in clinical or exposure situations as recommended by federal, state, and local guidelines and/or law.
Establishes and maintains clinic hours to best meet the needs of Damar's residential and Damar Health Services clients.Shows initiative by identifying process improvement opportunities in order to provide the most relevant, compassionate, and up-to-date care to all Damar clients.
Collaborates with both internal and external medical providers in an effort to ensure client and patient continuity of care.
Maintains admitting privileges at a designated local tertiary care center in order to ensure patient needs are met when level of care exceeds what can be performed in an office setting.
Oversees client health records and ensures recordkeeping in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.:
Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
Minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy preferred. Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.
Physical:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
