- Review pack request at start of shift to understand days packing plan.
- Test equipment to confirm proper connectivity before start of pack day.
- Meet with line leads and supervisory staff to discuss how order sequence will be handled.
- Ensure grower boxes are accounted for accurately during lot/variety changes.
- Each lot/variety/commodity change requires counting of grower boxes.
- Keep track of where lots start and end so that the count is accurate.
- Verify packing standards are being met.
- Correct style, grade, box size.
- Ensure the PLU is correct and that the product inside the box matches markings on the boxes.
- Mark and confirm that correct pallets/product is loaded onto correct trucks.
- Print transfer receipts and ensure this is provided to the driver on all outbound loads.
- Ensuring pictures are being captured and transferred into the company's database used for storing packing/tagging information.
- Confirm counts are correct for each grower before consolidating tags.
- Always keep work area and stations clean.
Requirements:
- Tagwriting experience highly preferred but not required.
- Fluency in English required, second language a plus.
- Proficient in data tagging tools.
- Knowledge in Famous preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and write detailed instructions and correspondence or instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and in a team to meet productivity standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and requirements.
