    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a board member with a strong background in climate, circular economy, and sustainability, particularly individuals with private sector experience in this area who either serve or have served as a Chief Sustainability Officer or similar role. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission, leveraging your subject matter expertise to help drive impactful change at the intersection of business, environmental stewardship, and community impact.

    Board meetings are held four times yearly, and members attend in person (preferred) or virtually. In addition to general board responsibilities, our ideal candidate will bring insights into environmental sustainability, private sector networks, and strategies for creating a positive impact in this crucial area.

    Qualifications:

    Pyxera Global is looking for individuals with a global worldview and a passion for climate mitigation and adaptation, circular economy and corporate sustainability. Ideal candidates will have:

    • Private sector/corporate experience in climate, circular economy and sustainability
    • Previous roles as a Chief Sustainability Officer or similar
    • Knowledge of environmental issues both domestically and internationally
    • Experience in navigating complex corporate structures with a focus on sustainability
    • Relationships with firms with both domestic and international reach
