- Protectlife and property and able to respond to all types of emergencies on campus
- Performs routine public safety duties inaccordance with established guidelines.
- Patrol assigned areas to ensure personal,building and equipment security.
- Warn violators of rule infractions
- Enforce traffic and parking violations
- Enforce all applicable campus rules andregulations plus NY State Penal Law when appropriate Assist in emergency situations as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required;college preferred.
- Prior lawenforcement and/or security experience preferred
- Must have good written, verbal communicationand organizational skills
- General computer knowledge is required
- Valid NY State driver's license and gooddriving record required
- Must have valid NY State security guardlicense and have completed both the 8 hour and 16 hour security guard training
- Must have in possession updated CPR/AED andFirst Aid Training
- Must be able to demonstrate physical fitness
- Able to stand for a long period of time;Able to walk for long period of time; Climb stairs and being exposed to outdoorweather conditions
- Must be able to assist in lifting a personat least 150 pounds onto stretcher into ambulance.
- Able to work shifts as needed.
