Performs direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner and applies the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of radiologic technology
monitors condition of patient and medical equipment that may be disturbed due to the nature of exam and report changes to patient care services
-calculates and selects proper technical factors based on information such as age, medical history and suspected pathology; assesses quality of radiographs with minimal supervision; competently performs in assigned areas that encompass specialty procedures e

g:
surgery, C-arm, tomograms, venograms, arthrograms, myelograms, ERCP, sialo grams, video speech evaluation, hysterosalpingogram and other specialty procedures as well as GI and GU procedures; assists physicians in performance of fluoroscopic and minor specialty exams by providing and administrating proper contrast media, positioning patient and operating fluoroscopic equipment; Participates in performance improvement projects; assists departmental in achieving successful results in all federal and state and local agency audits

• Participates in the education/instruction of students and the orientation of new staff.

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; Advanced Registry in Quality Management by the ARRT
