- Perform ABG's and process according to department procedure, interpret results and take appropriate action.
- Demonstrates understanding of home equipment set-ups procedure.
- Facilitators will be the "point person" on the shift, determine appropriate staffing and assist everyone to ensure assigned work is completed.
- Facilitators report questions or problems to the department manager.
- Follows the "Standard of Behavior" guidelines per hospital policy.
- Follows the AIDET model (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation and Thank) at all times,
- Associate's Degree
- Up to 1 Year of Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
- 1 to 2 Years of NICU experience
- NRP certification
- 2 years clinical experience for new grads acceptable in lieu of 1 year of work experience
- Kansas Respiratory Therapist License
- BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
- NRP within 12 months of hire date
- CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
