    Description


    Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement the Director of Athletic Advancement is a member of the advancement team whose overall responsibility is to manage, plan and execute a comprehensive program for athletic gifts.

    The Director of Athletic Advancement works in a team environment with the entire advancement staff to develop individual cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for annual, and major giving prospects.

    The Director of Athletic Advancement reports directly to the Vice President for Advancement.
    Responsibilities
    Extensive traveling, to include overnight.

    Work some nights and weekends.

    Confidentiality is a must.

    Perform duties as requested by supervisor.


    It is the responsibility of each employee to perform assigned duties in a safe manner to prevent injury to oneself or others.

    Promptness and attendance are necessary and play a vital role in the overall performance of this university.

    Coordinate all efforts of the Big Maroon Club to increase the number of donors and the total amount given (yearly goals will be determined.)

    Develop a foundation of financial support from former student-athletes.

    Cultivate relationships with potential Corporate Sponsors and seek to enlist their support.

    Develop stronger relationships with current Corporate Sponsors through special events and visits.

    Assist with Campbellsville University's Boosters and 12th Man Club to help enroll and recruit new members

    Plan and implement post season events for athletic teams when appropriate.


    Assist whenever needed, with the planning, and the implementation of said plans, for all other special events hosted, sponsored or under the direction of the Office of Advancement.

    Be proficient in the use of software as a presentation and marketing tool.

    Provide reports on cultivation and solicitation of prospective and current donors.

    Must possess a bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred.

    This position requires good organizational and communication skills.

    Must be willing to do extensive traveling, including some overnight travel.

    Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the position.
