Job Opportunity: Audit Manager - (Public Sector: Municipalities, Schools,Gov. Agencies)

• We are seeking an experienced audit professional who excels at building relationships and driving results within a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Locations: Detroit, Troy, or Jackson, MI - HYBRID

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead comprehensive audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring projects are executed smoothly and within deadline constraints.
• Collaborate closely with clients, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance their financial reporting processes.
• Develop and mentor a dynamic team of audit professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and the highest level of service.
• Identify opportunities for business development and contribute to firm growth through client relationship building.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in audit, preferably in a public accounting or professional services environment.
• Experience working in the Public Sector (preferred); public, schools, municipal, government, etc.
• Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of successfully managing audit teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to building client relationships and contributing to team success.
