    SUMMARY

    The purpose of this position is to provide general medical care and treatment to patients under the direction of the Physician.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Provide routine primary care as guided by policies and procedures along with the supervising Physician.
    • Provide treatment of medical problems at health centers as guided by policies and procedures along with the supervising Physician.
    • Provide Family Planning services as requested according to protocol.
    • Provide prenatal services as requested according to protocol.
    • Refer patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
    • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
    • Prescribe medications, including "verbal orders", as guided by policies and procedures along with the supervising Physician.
    • Participate in continuous quality improvement projects.
    • Complete all required Core Curriculum Training(s) required for this position.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current driver's license
    • Current auto insurance
    • Must be able to travel to all Aunt Martha's locations.
    • Must be available to respond to emergency issues during evening hours and on weekends.
    • Current Advanced Practice/Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in the state of Illinois
    • Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area
    • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
