    Position Overview:

    This position is a key member of SiteOnes Financial Reporting and Lease Accounting team located in Roswell, GA and essential responsibilities include extensive involvement in the month end close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support. This individual will work directly with business partners in the field as well as the accounting, real estate, and fleet and delivery functional teams to resolve issues, ensure compliance, and provide reporting guidance and assistance. The individual in this role will also provide support to the corporate tax group and function as a point of contact for internal and external audit requests as needed. This position is expected to play an important role in the companys internal control activities in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

    Responsibilities include performing the companys lease accounting functions, including, but not limited to, duties associated with the monthly financial close, account reconciliations, support of a strong internal control environment, asset management, and financial reporting. This position also collaborates with various business partners to develop and improve processes while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.

    Key duties include:

    • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month end close activities for lease accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.
    • Review lease agreements (includes real estate and equipment leases as well as vehicle financing arrangements) to ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 842 standards.
    • Function as the point of contact for the business regarding lease accounting related questions.
    • Support purchase accounting and integration of acquisitions.
    • Assist the corporate tax group on matters related to lease accounting.
    • Work directly with internal and external auditors on matters pertaining to lease accounting.
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
    • Carry out special projects as required.
    Skills We Are Seeking::

    Education:

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
    • CPA certification or CPA track preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of relevant corporate accounting experience.
    • Experience and strong understanding of monthly close and reporting cycles in a large U.S. corporate environment.
    • Experience applying U.S. GAAP.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar scale ERP platforms
    • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with demonstrated ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, apply sound judgment, and collaborate with business partners
