    Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

    Under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer and/or their designee, the Compliance and Privacy Program Manager will serve as a subject-matter expert on compliance and privacy topics and by maintaining comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and policies.

    This position will interact with all levels of CHLA management, employees, physicians, and patients, as well as external regulators and outside counsel.

    The role will include conducting compliance/privacy investigations, addressing inquiries, maintaining necessary documentation and metrics, writing and reviewing policies and procedures, and overall management of initiatives.

    The Compliance and Privacy Program Manager assists with the ongoing progression and development of the program, training and education, and compliance programmatic assessments and enhancements.


    Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

    Three or more years experience in a compliance role within a health care setting with a focus on privacy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge of, and experience with, federal and state patient privacy laws and breach notification requirements Develop, maintain, and revise policies, procedures, and practices for the CHLA privacy program Privacy incident management, including mitigation and investigations Exceptional time management and multitasking skills Demonstrated effectiveness in project management development.

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively with Workforce Members at all levels. Excellent writing and communication skills.


    Education/Licensure/Certification:
    Bachelors required; Certification in HealthCare Compliance (CHC) or Privacy Compliance (CHPC) required.
    Pay Scale Information$76,128.00-$137,030.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization.

    Final determination of a successful candidates starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

    The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.

    Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
