    Our client, a pioneer in the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector, is committed to creating sustainable and vibrant communities for modern living. With an existing portfolio of over $1bn, they are looking for a motivated and dynamic Build-to-Rent Originator to join the team as they expand.

    Position: Build-to-Rent (BTR) Originator

    Location: on site 4 days/ week / Multiple Locations Available (including Midtown NYC, Boston, Miami, Dallas)

    The Build-to-Rent Originator will play a pivotal role in driving expansion efforts by identifying and securing lucrative BTR opportunities across targeted regions. This position is ideal for a self-driven professional with a keen eye for real estate development opportunities and a passion for transforming communities through innovative housing solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Opportunity Identification: Scout for potential BTR development sites in strategic locations, leveraging market research, industry trends, and networking.

    Deal Origination: Initiate contact and develop relationships with landowners, developers, and brokers to source and secure development projects.

    Feasibility Studies: Conduct initial feasibility studies on potential BTR projects, assessing financial viability, market demand, and alignment with company strategy.

    Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting, finance, and development, to ensure a seamless transition from origination to project execution.

    Market Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the BTR market, including regulatory changes, competitor activity, and market trends, to inform strategic decisions.

    Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on potential opportunities, market insights, and progress against targets.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

    A minimum of 7 years' experience in real estate development, acquisition, or a related field, with a proven track record in deal origination.

    Strong understanding of the BTR sector and real estate market dynamics.

    Excellent analytical, negotiation, and networking skills.

    Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

    Willingness to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
