- Participate in audit field work and respond to information requests from auditors as assigned.
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of law and developments that affect assigned business area(s).
- Analyze and audit tax account activity and communicate any issues with appropriate team members.
- Prepare/reconcile indirect tax returns & related payments in accordance with a tax calendar.
- Work with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data, identifies root cause analysis and proposes solutions to correct issues or escalates issues to leadership.
- Support Front-of-House, SAP and Vertex interfaces to ensure sales and use tax is being properly reported in SAP.
- Act as a business partner with various teams within client, including technology teams, controllership and finance.
- Special projects as assigned.
- To qualify for this role candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, information systems, business analytics, or a field similar to those listed.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Superior Excel skills.
- Experience with data tools that enable transformation and analysis of large data volumes also a plus.
- SAP and Vertex Sales Tax Return Software/Vertex L and O Series Tax Maintenance is a plus.
