    Associate Vice President Brand Patent Strategy and Portfolio Management

    Princeton, New Jersey (ON-SITE - Hybrid: 3 days in office; 2 days remote)

    Summary :

    To formulate effective IP strategies to have strong and enforceable branded portfolio of Sun and its entities to ensure stronger and extended LOE for commercial and late stage branded products with the objective of achieving the business target and building potential for sustained revenue growth Globally.

    Duties and Responsibility:

    Provide strategic inputs for effective patent filing and prosecution and evaluate strength of our IP branded portfolio.

    Look for potential scope of strengthening and extending LOE (Loss of Exclusivity) for our branded portfolio.

    Take adequate steps to ensure FTO for our branded products including licensing of IP

    Constantly monitor competition and implement effective patent filing strategy for our Branded Portfolio.

    Recommend business based on regulatory, IP, marketing and legal inputs for our branded portfolio.

    Keep business appraised of latest changes in IP, Regulatory, pricing and other legal aspects to help business take most informed decision.

    Recommend business effective LCM strategies for our branded portfolio

    Look for opportunities to generate revenue from our non -core IP assets.

    Evaluate strength of our IP portfolio and recommend business way forward.

    Suggest and implement additional regulatory exclusivity strategies, patent linkage and patent enforcement options for our branded portfolio globally.

    Work closely with R&D, Clinical, Operations, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory and outside law firms to provide necessary IP guidance and advice for our branded portfolio.

    Qualifications and Education :

    US Patent Attorney with PhD or Masters in Pharmacy, Science,

    Pharmaceutical Technology with at least 10 years of experience from a Pharmaceutical Company or Law firm.

    Minimum 10 years of experience working in Pharma/Life Science

    Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
