    Purchasing Agent - Residential Construction - Orlando FL

    We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our growing team in the residential construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for buying goods and services necessary for our business. You have the means and opportunity to raise our profits by making the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases. The goal is to procure all supplies at the best value and ensure the continuity of our operations. Must have residential/home building experience
    Growth Opportunities
    Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
    Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
    Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
    Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
    Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
    Control purchasing department budgets.
    Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
    Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
    Administer on-line purchasing systems.
    Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
    Proven working experience as a purchasing manager, agent, or officer.
    A knack for negotiation and networking.
    Working experience of vendor management software.
    Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures.
    BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
    Experience in the residential construction or home building industry is a plus.
    Proficient in preparing detailed reports and financial analyses.
    Excellent understanding of budgeting and financial planning.
    Comprehensive knowledge of preparing purchase orders and coordinating with vendors.
    Outstanding negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software programs.
