    Description
    A client of Insight Global is seeking a Physical Substation Design Engineer to join their team.

    The Engineer will will play a crucial role in the design and planning of electrical substations, ensuring they meet technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    They will also include technical specifications and documentation; preparing detailed engineering reports, design drawings, specifications, calculations, and documentation for substation designs, equipment selection, and system studies.

    They will prepare technical specifications, scope of work, and design criteria for procurement processes related to substation equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

    Professional Engineer (PE) license
    Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering

    Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

    Minimum of 5 years of experience as a physical substation design engineer

    Experience creating a substation construction package from a scope of work

    Strong understanding of electrical systems, and substation physical construction packages.

    Willing to travel within the US to attend site visits and client meetings
