- Develop a new graduate program (pending University approval) in Mental Health Counseling aimed at achieving Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation.
- Lead the creation of a Mental Health Counseling graduate program in collaboration with Department members and the Dean's office and follow the process for University program approval.
- Teach undergraduate Psychology courses, with a reduced teaching load to focus on program development.
- Monitor and assess student-learning outcomes by providing timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.
- Communicate frequently with the Department leaders for updates or changing course information.
- Commitment to teaching, advising and mentoring non-traditional and diverse students.
- Develop an active program of research.
- Engage in service to the Psychology Department, School and University.
- Doctorate in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or closely related field from a CACREP- accredited.

APA- accredited program (or All But Dissertation (ABD) with Doctorate completed by August 1, 2024). - Experience in undergraduate teaching, mentoring and/ or collaborative research.
- Experience conducting research.
- Interest and experience in graduate program development.
- Experience teaching graduate level psychology courses.
- Experience teaching Psychological Disorders and/or courses related to Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
- Active research and a scholarly agenda.
- Applied experience in a counseling or clinical setting.
- Licensed to practice mental health counseling or psychology.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and educate a diverse student population effectively.
