    THIS IS AN "IT Network Engineer" ROLE

    JOB SUMMARY

    This position will be part of a global team responsible for monitoring and reporting on network services. You will provide support to the production environment and ensuring that the right practices are implemented and enforced. The IT Network Engineer's primary duties will include monitoring of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems. You may be asked to perform moves, adds, or changes related to networking or assistance in replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. Also, will be responsible for L1 and L2 tickets.

    JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Develop and Support enterprise-level technical-infrastructure solutions

    o Ensure the reliable and secure operations of our IT network environment (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN)

    o Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices from Cisco

    o Effectively troubleshoot and analyze outages, issues, or faults, with the ability to recover to operative mode promptly

    o Stay abreast of emerging networking technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve overall network performance and efficiency


    • Facilitate and/or support the resolution of tier I and tier II tickets

    o Provide support for network environment and systems at different levels, including 1st and 2nd level instances

    o Collaborate closely with our IT Helpdesk, office management, and other departments


    • With the assistance of peers and other team members, monitor and analyze Network infrastructure

    o Develop detailed usage metrics to ensure current infrastructure needs are being met and future needs are identified and addressed in a timely fashion

    o Develop and maintain documentation related to Data Center

    FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE

    o Knowledge of enterprise network best practices

    o Experience engineering, configuring, and supporting of network equipment from Cisco

    o Knowledge of network operations, including Cisco Switches, Cisco Router, Cisco DNA, Cisco ISE, Cisco Wireless infrastructure

    o Experience managing large numbers of network devices.

    o Experience with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, TCP/IP, Authentication Protocols (LDAP, RADIUS, etc.)

    o Good understanding in TCP/IP & other network protocols, routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and network design

    o Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) in English

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
