    American Aluminum Extrusion is a 22-year-old company providing quality aluminum and fabricated extrusions to the most demanding fabricated product markets.

    We have ambitious growth plans for the next five years.

    Position Summary:

    The Controls Engineer supports and develops new and existing control systems in our various production processes.

    The Engineer executes moderately complex engineering projects and performs project engineering support and project work from design to implementation by AAE policies.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Troubleshot and repaired PLCs, Servos, and machine controls, including writing code.

    Run backup PLC programs from a server to reload and reboot PLC programs as needed.

    Design HMI

    Develop electrical drawings using AutoCAD.

    Maintain documentation for existing equipment, control, and systems installations.

    Diagnose the causes of electrical or control malfunctions, equipment failure, and replacement of defective components.

    Experience:

    Education equivalent to a BSEE or five years of hands-on experience

    Strong electrical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair control systems.

    Advanced troubleshooting skills in machine control

    Multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    High attention to detail with problem-solving and analytical skills.
