    Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Associate Engineer Manufacturing/Engineer Manufacturing to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in located on-site Melbourne, FL where technology and teamwork come together. The selected candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.

    Due to the nature of the position this role requires an onsite presence and must be performed on site.

    Manufacturing Engineering job duties involve the following: provide guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts to ensure the best manufacturing technique is being used to meet the Engineering design, participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and reduce build times and program costs during assembly, define sequence of operations for product builds, investigate and initiate corrective actions and improvements that involve non-conforming product and identify improvement opportunities in areas that require producibility and affordability initiatives. Manufacturing Engineers for Aeronautics Systems are expected to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and difficult problems. They are problem solvers who can provide results that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. We seek Manufacturing Engineers that use a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the technical representative voice for the Manufacturing organization.

    We offer a 4/10 shift, Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm, with every Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.     This Requisition may be filled as a Associate Engineer Manufacturing or Engineer Manufacturing based on the qualifications below.

    Basic Qualifications Associate Manufacturing Engineer:

    • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 0 years
    • Experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, Engineering, and Production.
    • Ability to work for extended periods of time at a workstation on a computer or similar device for up to 10 hours / duration of shift. Occasional extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
    • Experience with developing enhancement processes that improve production shop floor efficiencies
    • Experience with reviewing engineering models during concept design phase to correlate the manufacturing desired final engineering model
    • Excellent communicator, ability to provide product improvement proposals and present to engineering designers and technical team for approval
    • Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and tooling assemblies or equipment

    Salary Range: $56,600 - $85,000
    Salary Range 2: $68,500 - $102,700
    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
