    The Project Manager will be an experienced construction and/or development management professional with a background in healthcare operations, facilities, construction management, logistics & transition planning.


    Project Manager will be involved throughout all stages of project development and will interface with pre-construction, construction, and post-construction processes, and provide support to healthcare facilities with operational transition planning and management; should understand the overall process, anticipate and address potential issues, and advise on key decisions related to project challenges.

    The successful candidate should be an effective problem-solver who is well-organized, with excellent communication skills; hard-working, motivated, and willing to learn.

    You will immerse yourself in the work via remote and onsite travel to various job sites; approximately 5-7 days monthly travel (via driving or flight travel that will require overnight stays).

    Responsibilities – vary from project to project, but generally include:
    ·


    Participate and advise during the project development process; work with the team of healthcare executives and/or construction planners on behalf of project owner.

    ·

    Navigates design and construction processes with healthcare executives, specialists and end users to ensure their understanding of the outcomes.
    ·

    Participate in "Owner, Architect and Contractor" meetings for pre-construction and construction phases of assigned projects (OR, Development, Development Consulting).
    ·

    Review program, code and regulatory requirements and Owner's

    requirements/standards

    to ensure they are incorporated throughout Conceptual, Schematic and Design Development phases of project development. Learn new requirements as needed.
    ·


    Review existing data, research, business plan documentation, and budgets to establish baseline program, consistent with a 5–10-year outlook for the client, including consideration of trends and emerging technologies advancing the delivery of health care.

    Engage with key leaders at institute and network level

    (vertical/horizontal)


    and various assigned stakeholders including but not limited to Clinical Services, Diagnostic Services, Operations, Ancillary/Support Services, Facilities Engineering, Patient Education, Regulatory, and IT/LV to outline program scope and range based upon best practices, market research, demographics, business plan.

    ·


    Through series of meetings with established stakeholders, combine baseline program findings with the institute and network feedback to define initial programmatic needs for each service line; with preliminary data on staffing and equipment needs/issues.

    ·

    Within this group, refine the program scope to actionable phases.
    ·

    Secure/distribute information required for permit and zoning processes, with design team.
    ·

    Participate in permit processes and attend city meetings and hearings if required.
    ·

    Create and manage project schedule(s) for assigned projects, and/or ensure that they get produced.
    ·


    Create and manage presentations (PowerPoint primarily) for regular reporting (executive sessions, project team work sessions, project charters and orientations, topic-focused presentations as needed).

    ·

    Advise and/or suggest improvements to design that contribute to efficient functionality,
    sustainable build, mitigated risk and protect the client's investment. Participate in Value Management process (assess, evaluate, analyze, alternative engineering). Collaborate w/project team and stakeholders to stay within budget.
    ·


    Interface and problem solve with Owner and Subject Matter Experts, Architect, Contractors and other project participants to ensure communication and understanding of goals and objectives necessary to complete projects.

    ·


    Work with OAC team and applicable "Authorities having jurisdiction" to ensure projects are compliant to receive Certificate of Occupancy and other required licensure.

    ·


    Conduct one-on-one meetings with department leaders (physicians, medical staff, and support staff) both for departments relocating to the new facility as well as for those departments who will support the relocation.

    ·


    Review each department to determine who is moving, what is being moved and what coordination activities need to occur between planning and occupancy.

    ·

    Document departmental requirements in the Project Action Log for use during the planning process.

    "Day-in-the-life" discussions will be held to identify mock scenarios that simulate a day in the life of the clinical staff to understand issues and processes which may be revised or improved.

    Create Orientation and Training framework that outlines events, participants, activities, and schedule.

    Master Training Schedule Coordination

    Facilitate Employee Orientation and Training Profile

    Oversee and manage move process, including sequencing for each department, for each project
    Experience


    Requirements/Preferences:
    ·

    Project Management
    ·

    Healthcare operations and facilities management, and/or construction experience
    ·

    Demonstrated excellence in project communication and working with multiple stakeholders in collaborative environments.
    ·


    Demonstrated excellence in managing scope of work and adhering to budgets and schedules from design through construction and project activation.

    ·

    Ability to read and understand drawings and how they translate into the field.
    ·

    Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project); Bluebeam and/or Adobe. Experience with Construction Project Management software and Smartsheet helpful.

    $80,000 - $100,000

    Education :
    BA/BS in Construction Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Appropriate extensive experience or combination of experience & education may substitute for degree.
