- Must have a working knowledge and proficiency with installing, repairing and maintaining industrial electrical/mechanical components and equipment.
- Disassemble/reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc. and repair/replace worn or defective parts.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems and other control systems and install wiring systems for power and control.
- Troubleshoot, install and repair ac/dc motors, starters, relays and drives.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic power presses.
- Install new equipment and understand technical manuals, read blueprints and how to purchase replacement parts necessary to make equipment repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance per planned schedules. Clean and lubricate machinery. Inspect equipment operating conditions.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Must possess the skills/knowledge of an Industrial Electrician to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of electrical controls systems, safety circuits, and automation components such as inductive proximity sensors, photo eye, sensors, and mechanical limit switches.
- Experience with various types of welding; mig, tig, plasma arc, and resistance welding.
- Experience with tube cutting, trimming and forming.
- Understand tooling fitment and clearances.
- Identify/troubleshoot potential pierce and form die issues.
- Observe all safety and OSHA regulations.
- The willingness to learn new skills and grow.
- Possess High School Diploma (Or GED) with at least 3-5 year of experience in the Manufacturing Maintenance field.
- Advance knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes and repair methods/techniques.
- Must understand PLC ladder logic.
- Intermediate to advance skills in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and/or blueprints as well as technical product specification.
- Able to read safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to train others in the maintenance of machines.
- Organize and prioritize work orders while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to deal with problems/issues involving some variation in standardized situations.
- Work under direct supervision and independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to execute e-mails, word documents and open power point presentations and use Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Systems.
