    The Radiology Department seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with LUHS guidelines.


    $3,000 Sign On-Bonus
    Performs diagnostic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and innovative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
    Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines to provide the physicians with the highest quality of diagnostic images.
    Provides assistance to the Radiologist during radiographic procedures to expedite patient care and quality of life.
    Assesses plans, provides intervention and evaluates care for each patient based on their ages to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure.
    Prepares equipment and supplies necessary for radiographic procedures and performs daily tasks to ensure patient safety.
    Maintains current licensure and educational points to ensure expansion of job knowledge.

    Performs all required hospital and department tracking in IDXRAD and verifying in PACS in an accurate and proficient manner to aid in timely diagnosis and proper billing.


    P osition Requirements:
    Minimum

    Required:
    Associates Degree
    Specify Degree(s): AAS in Radiologic Technology
    Less than one year of previous job-related experience

    Licensure/Certifications:

    Required:
    American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
    Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
    CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association
    Registered Radiographic Technologist
