    Position Title: Operation Manager - Plant Nursery

    Overview: As the Operation Manager of our esteemed plant nursery, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all operational aspects within the nursery. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing daily activities, managing staff, optimizing processes, and maintaining the high quality of our plants. This position requires a blend of horticultural expertise, managerial skills, and a passion for fostering growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Operations Oversight:
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Monitor daily activities to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations.
    1. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise nursery staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance to ensure optimal performance.
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and motivation.
    1. Quality Control:
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of plant health and appearance.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or concerns and take corrective action promptly.
    • Collaborate with relevant teams to address customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in nursery operations or a similar role, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, customers, and suppliers.
    • Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with nursery management software is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and hands-on approach to tasks.

    Working Conditions:

    • The role primarily operates within a nursery environment, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions and physical labor.
    • Flexibility in working hours may be required, especially during peak seasons or for special events.
    • Occasional travel may be necessary for supplier visits, industry conferences, or other business-related activities.
