    Payroll and Accounting Part time, approximately 24 hours to 30 max per week

We need you Small, friendly, independent Staffing firm is looking for an experienced payroll and accounting person with staffing or related payroll experience.
    • You will do payroll for several different customers with different time reporting methods and billing preferences.
    • You must check time sheets to correct and change time given in hours and minutes to hours with decimals,
    • check your own work and that of our PEO service, as well as client time sheets to find errors.
    • Calculate in house staff commissions and bonuses.
    • There is very occasional Prevailing Wage Payroll.
    You will need to onboard clients in different states, getting us set up to do payroll and worker's comp insurance. You must be computer savvy, and adapt to using different software programs such as Temp Wizard, QuickBooks, Excel, Word, etc. We will train you, but you must have experience with QuickBooks and basics of Excel and Word. Accounting duties include creating financial reports, AR and AP, invoicing, bank recs, collections and help our CFO with monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and tax reporting, work with our CPA firm for year-end preparation for taxes. Additional duties include friendly and helpful interactions with internal staff, temp employees and clients. Occasional answering office phones and helping clients and employees, buying office supplies, and helping the company run smoothly. The company recruiters work virtually. You will be in a peaceful, attractive office environment shared with the owner. .
