    Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician - 1st Shift.

    The hours for this role are 7 am to 3:30 pm

    The hourly rate for this position is starts at $22.66, hourly rate will be determined based on applicable experience per hour.

    What you'll do:

    Eaton's Aerospace FED division is seeking a ME Technician for the Middlesex, North Carolina Site

    Primary Function:

    In this position you will be completing hands on work to support production and the facilities key manufacturing processes. The person in this position will be responsible for engineering related production support (Tier 1) on processes, equipment, and tooling, to ensure that the customer-required specifications are met. This position is also responsible for first response support to operations and driving quality & safety improvements within our processes. Collaborating with front-line leads on training, and compliance in safety and quality.

    Essential Functions:

    • Update MFG-Pro routers and Bill of Materials as decided by Manufacturing Engineers to support MOC's

    • Support the maintenance of PFMEA's based on process changes, lessons learned, 8D's, CAPA's

    • Attend Tier 1 accountability meetings and provide updates / prioritize support where needed

    • Attend daily DMR meeting and assisting with teardowns and closing out actions

    • Support lab test failure teardowns by creating and preparing samples as needed for diagnostics

    • Complete machine set-up support and process sign off as needed (e.g. Spiral Braider)

    • Support engineering trials for new product development (Pro-Launch)

    • Assist in creating spare parts list, PM schedules, standard tooling list's for facility equipment and tooling

    • Manage and conduct tooling audits for compliance and order spare tooling as required

    • Create and Maintain operator work instructions based on MFOP's for user friendliness

    • Complete Ease Quality Audits and GEMBA Audits

    • Assist in Lock Out Tag Out audits and update process if necessary for compliance

    • Close actions associated with Find It Fix It, Ergo assessments and WSRA's

    • Conduct safety audits as per compliance calendar (ie. Security / Eyewash / Waste / Flammable Cabinets)

    • Assist in maintaining and updating Machine Guarding Inventory

    • Provide input on concepts for fabrication of equipment or setup components

    • Maintains a safe working environment. Abides by all safety requirements. Designs safety into every process and activity.

    • Drives continuous improvement through problem solving 8D format, capturing FCO, developing standard operating procedures, developing skills within workforce

    • Follow Eaton code of ethics, harassment free workplace policy, and leadership model to help create a respectful and high performing work environment

    Qualifications:

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • High degree of mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands-on

    • Broad knowledge of machines and tooling

    • Learning agility

    • Strong communication skills for interaction with all levels of the facility

    • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and processes

    Qualifications
    Basic qualifications:


    • Minimum 3 years of experience reading and deciphering technical specifications and prints

    • Minimum 3 years of experience using measurement tools and mechanical devices (i.e., calipers, gauges, hand saws, grinders, wrenches)

    • Minimum 1 year of experience working in Microsoft Office including word, excel and email

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

    • Must be able to lift 30 pounds unaided

    Skills:

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Associates Degree in a technical field (math, science, computer science, engineering)

    • 5+ years experience working in manufacturing environment

    • 3+ years experience working on a team

    • 2+ years experience managing multiple processes

    • 1+ year of experience using lean six sigma tools
