    Responsibilities


    What You'll Do:
    The Sr. Accounting Manager serves as a strategic leader for accounting operations and department initiatives.

    This role requires the ability to manage a team, establish operational efficiencies and create standard procedures to ensure the accuracy and preparation of financial statements.

    This role directly oversees and participates in recording complex journal entries, analyzing budget variances, review balance sheet reconciliations and is a key contributor to external audits.

    Accounting Manager is a critical team member responsible for driving and coordinating cross-functional work streams to deliver results on key initiatives and achieve strategic objectives.

    Key member in facilitating the preparation of the monthly financial package in accordance with GAAP.
    Lead a timely month-end close process and provided commentary surrounding budget variances.
    Present monthly financial results to budget owners and other senior leaders.
    Manage a team responsible for all accounting operations including project accounting, inventory, fixed assets, leases and intercompany.
    Responsible for managing the payroll processing, employee garnishments, 401K elections and establishing positive working relationships with key partners.
    Prepare and audit balance sheet reconciliations in-line with best practices and internal controls.
    Administer and oversee all lease accounting transactions to include capitalization, impairments, and reporting.
    Primary contributor to facilitate the completion of annual financial statements and 401K audits.
    Develop, establish, and maintain a work priority system to ensure daily and heavy workloads are fulfilled.
    Initiate internal reviews of accounting systems to optimize processes and efficiencies.
    Maintains systems and controls that verify the integrity and accuracy of all financial systems, processes, and data.

    Plan and direct accounting activities of assigned projects to ensure that objectives of the project are accomplished in a prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

    Maintain effectiveness with experiencing change in work responsibilities or environment, adjust effectively to work within new structures, processes, requirements, or culture as a part of change management to support growing business needs.

    Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all employee and financial information.
    Supervises accounting and payroll department staff as assigned.
    Performs all other duties as assigned.

    5 years of relevant work experience with at least2 years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
    3 years of managerial experience.

    Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

    Prior healthcare experience
    NetSuite experience
