    Description


    We are seeking a Security-Focused Software Development Engineer to help safeguard all Amazon customers, from Prime Now to Fulfillment Centers.

    Your role will be crucial in ensuring that customer data protection remains a top priority in all development efforts.

    Key job responsibilities
    Your responsibilities will include designing and developing a security monitoring platform for all of Amazon's applications. This platform will empower security teams to swiftly and automatically detect issues and implement corrective measures.

    You will face challenges related to scale and latency while creating user-centric features, and you will gain exposure to and collaborate with critical systems across Amazon.

    Our approach emphasizes experimentation, rapid iteration, and gathering feedback from customers and stakeholders.

    We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who is customer-focused, and detail-oriented. Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures, are essential. Programming experience in Python/Java/C# and AWS are highly desired.

    Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of advanced systems concepts and design principles. The ability to integrate customer feedback while considering long-term impacts is crucial.

    We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about learning and enjoys working in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment alongside an experienced team.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of noninternship professional software development experience
    • 2+ years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
    • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
