    Seeking Clinical Physician - Ophthalmology for Exciting Opportunity in Muskogee, OK

    The VA Eastern Oklahoma Healthcare System (EOVAHCS) is actively looking for a Physician in Ophthalmology to support our veterans, America's Heroes. This role involves teaching and caring for residents, medical students, and providers. EOVAHCS includes ambulatory care centers, a tertiary care facility, and community-based outpatient clinics, serving veterans from multiple counties in Eastern Oklahoma with a total of 55,000 Veterans in the service area. Join our team in expanding to better serve Veteran patients.

    Ophthalmology reports to the Chief of Eye Care Services and falls under the Department of Surgery. Responsibilities include cataract surgery and comprehensive Ophthalmology, requiring experience in these areas. Collaboration with optometric colleagues for seamless care is essential.

    Work Schedule:
    • Full-time, Monday-Friday, with the possibility of evening or weekend shifts as a 24/7 full-time physician.
    • Work primarily in the outpatient clinic and operating room.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen with a current, unrestricted medical license.
    • Board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology.

    Preferred candidates have AMA or AOA board certification. Experience in this setting is preferred. A sign-on bonus and performance bonuses are available, with a starting pay ranging from $270,000.00 to $348,000.00 annually.

    Preferred Experience:
    • Board certification by AMA or AOA.
