The Associate General Counsel will report day-to-day to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and to the Senior Associate General Counsel, will be responsible for supporting WMCHealth's Supply Chain and Purchasing functions by providing legal counsel and drafting and negotiating agreements.
Performing a full range of complex legal activities in support of The WMCHealth Newtwork and departmental policies and procedures to ensure that the interests of the WMCHealth Network are represented and to ensure compliance with the law.
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide array of vendor and supplier contracts, including without limitation medical device and pharmaceutical procurements, large capital/maintenance agreements, product evaluation agreements, consignment agreements, consulting services, software license agreements, and other purchased services.
Advising the organization on compliance with state procurement requirements and organizational procurement policies, including oversight of competitive bidding process and practicesPerforming legal review and analysis to ensure contracts are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and HIPAA, as well as accreditation requirements.
Reviewing and revising corporate policies and procedures as necessary.Advising the organization on the litigation and other risks of potential business decisions.
Reviewing and monitoring relevant case law, changes to relevant state and federal laws, and regulatory guidance.

Eight years of experience where the primary function of the position was as an attorney, four years of which must have been in the practice of municipal law or health care law.
