The Senior Engineer, Civil is responsible for accuratelypreparing complex construction documents and well consideredtechnical solutions.

Plans and conducts independent work in theCivil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) Engineeringdiscipline within the Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) andBiopharma and Life Sciences (BLS) industries requiring judgmentin the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation ofengineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Independently perform Computer Aided Design and Drafting(Autodesk Civil 3D) of civil engineering plans including 3Dmodeling, alignments, corridors, cross sections, typicalsections, volumes, quantities, plan and profile sheets, stormsewer layouts, stormwater design, irrigation design, phaseconstruction sequencing, grading plans, utility or sitelayouts, general plan development, and change order support,including supporting calculations.

Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standardsand design criteria pertinent to the Civil Engineeringdiscipline such as those developed by AASHTO, ACI, ASTM,Asphalt Institute, PCA.

Ability to work with local Professional Land Surveyors anduse their produced data to produce civil engineeringdrawings.
Ability to research local ordinances and regulations andimplement into the design deliverables to ensure compliance.
Other software to be used CulvertMaster, FlowMaster,CivilStorm, Intergraph Smart3D or equivalent applicationscurrently in use in the industry.
Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plantconstructability as applied to construction methods andmaterials.
Participate in team and client meetings.
Support 3-D modeling and adjusting between Civil 3D andRevit to coordinate final deliverables.
May assist in cost estimates and quantity take-offs foron-going projects, proposals, forecasts, andchange-orders.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experiencedengineers, EI's, designers, drafters, and technicians.

4+ years of experience in Civil Design and using AutoCADCivil3D
Bachelor's in Engineering required
Master's Degree preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) License required
Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying(NCEES) Record preferred
Ability to respectfully work well in a diverse team settingto meet tight deadlines
Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Exhibit characteristics of an emerging or developed leader
Be capable of enjoying the work and keeping a positiveattitude in a challenging environment
Knowledgeable and productive in the Revit work environmentpreferred or willingness to learn
Exhibit a professional demeanor and be a proactive problemsolver
Previous experience with large projects and industrialprojects preferred
