    Shift: 3:30pm - Midnight

    Job Summary:

    Assists the Logistics Supervisor in all duties related to the maintenance and go-live of inventory management in par level areas and patient charge software. Specifically includes the preparation of new inventory areas; counting, checking expiration dates and maintenance of supplies; replenishment of supply areas and distribution of reports in accurate and timely manner. Perform said duties in the maintenance of the par level and supply chain system at Forrest General Hospital. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while begin sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

    Performance Expectations:

    After orientation and training, this employee will be expected to demonstrate competencies in these areas:

    - Counts all products in each assigned par level area at least twice per week.

    - Check expiration dates weekly, logs and disposes of expired products. Puts products with short expiration dates at the front of the bins so they are used next.

    - Replenishes products the same day the requisition is created by the counts.

    - Makes sure that backorder issues are communicated to Storeroom supervisors, PCMs and other patient care area staff.

    - Efficiently picks, delivers and places products in the correct bins.

    - Straightens areas before counting and during/after replenishment.

    - Thoroughly cleans bins at least once per quarter.

    - Reports dirty walls or floors to EVS.

    - Makes sure that products are at least 18" from the ceiling and at least 6" off the floor.

    - Works through conflict with departments and team members to create win-win solutions.

    - Communicates and collaborates effectively and respectfully with patient care areas and team members.

    - Reads and responds to work related emails daily. Copies supervisor and director on responses.

    - Responds promptly to requests of customers.

    - Builds and maintains positive relationships with patient care areas and managers.

    - Provides reports as needed or requested to patient care managers.

    - Performs other duties as directed by Logistics Supervisor or Director.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Skills

    High school diploma or equivalent required; two additional years college preferred.

    Work Experience:

    Prior work experience preferred in supply distribution is desirable.

    Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
