    CIVIL ENGINEER DESCRIPTION


    As a part of our Oil & Gas Engineering team, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading technical design tasks in support of pipeline and other related projects in Alaska.

    We are seeking a Civil Engineer with Structural design emphasis. Must be proficient in technical writing and both oral and written communication. Communication and organizational skills among the project team, including client interfacing is a must.

    The Civil Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager(s), provide PM support as needed and may be asked to lead projects from time to time.

    As a civil engineer you will lead and mentor Civil Associates, Designers and Drafters who support the project work.


    Experience in Buildings, Bridges, Ports and Harbors are also relevant to assist other departments and offices when workshare opportunities arise.

    Ability to maintain positivity and productivity during work peaks and valleys is a necessity.


    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    Four-year degree (BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent)

    5 – 10 years' experience (min 2 years oil & gas)

    Current State of Alaska Professional Engineering License

    Current State of Alaska Structural Engineering License is a plus

    Experience with Arctic region engineering design

    Experience with steel design

    Experience with AISC 360, ASCE 7, AWS D1.1

    Experience with ACI 318, TMS 402/602, NDS, AISI is preferred

    RISA design software proficiency

    AutoPIPE, Navisworks, and Bluebeam software preferred

    Computer Aided Design software proficiency


    Must demonstrate excellent speaking, oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, clients and public officials.


    COMPENSATION
    The approximate compensation range for this position is $90,558 - $142,629. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

    Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
