    Civil Certification Engineer is essential in supporting our engineering team. They are responsible for developing strong certification processes and procedures while handling civil certification projects.

    Certification Engineer will identify regulatory requirements, prepare certification plans and compliance checklists, conform inspection plans, and produce other certification-related documents.

    Support the execution of the Civil Certification Project - identification of regulatory requirements, development of means of compliance, certification plans, and regulator interface
    Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the team and/or cross-disciplinary research & development teams working on the development & certification of the autonomous, passenger-carrying, eVTOL aircraft
    Be responsible for the certification projects, provide technical direction, and problem-solve to assist the technical team
    Ensure Hyundai UAM Engineering projects align with regulations by preparing compliance checklists, certification plans, inspection plans, issue paper responses, and FAA forms, as applicable
    Train and guide junior certification engineers in all aspects of Civil Certification
    Ensure that regulatory compliance is integral to the development process
    Promote awareness of the certification process and requirements to the broader Engineering team
    Represent the department in meetings with program management, senior leaders, staff, and internal and external government representatives.
    Up to 10% of domestic and international travel
    Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields required; Minimum of five (5) years of experience in systems design, development, safety analysis, integration, and certification (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

    Experience working on type certification of an aircraft from start to finish under any of 14 CFR Part 23/25/27/33/35/36 or other relevant regulations preferred
