    Job Description

    General Summary Of Duties:

    The Director of Database Marketing (Director of DM) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies utilizing customer data and analytics. The Director of DM manages and maintains all customer databases and distributes marketing collateral to the databases through a multitude of communication channels. Manages a team that assists in campaign creation, analysis, and casino call center customer service.

    Qualifications

    Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of database marketing initiatives that serve to attract new customers and retain existing customers.
    • Executes all aspects of data-related activities and administers the production of direct mail and player lists.
    • Oversees all database marketing projects to ensure the accuracy and integrity of offers, customer lists, and customer records.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of database marketing efforts and make recommendations.
    • Responsible for department budgets, forecasts, and tracks department financials against programs.
    • Maintains operating knowledge of all necessary systems to effectively coordinate database marketing projects.
    • Accurately tracks redemptions of all database marketing projects.
    • Works closely with multiple departments to identify revenue-generating opportunities through database marketing efforts.
    • Maintain product knowledge and relationships with external vendors that assist in the direct mail creation and communication process.
    • Use existing databases to develop reporting that will provide insight into guest activity and program results.
    • Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
      Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
    • Sound understanding of systems used to execute database and direct mail efforts. MS Excel, SQL, OPTX, ACSC, Salesforce, EBS Promotions, & Offercraft proficiency is strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of, and experience in creating, developing, and/or implementing casino promotions & offers for casino customers required.
    • Strong written and communication skills.
    • Sound understanding of database marketing and the customer lifecycle.
    • Strong leadership, customer service, and presentation skills.
      Experience Requirements:
    • 8 years minimum casino or hospitality marketing experience required.
    • 5 years minimum database marketing experience required.
    • 3 years minimum supervisory role preferred.
    • Education Requirements:

      Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or Marketing preferred.

    Must be able to make decisions and work independently, have effective decision-making and listening abilities with strong judgment skills, excellent organizational skills to function reasonably under time constraints and within established deadlines, with attention to detail, and establish and maintain an effective working relationship with employees.

    Work is performed in an office space environment in a limited access of space: contact with department heads, staff and management; and ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
