- Performing anesthetic history and physical assessment of patients and documenting in CPRS and/or the Preanesthetic Evaluation and Anesthetic record.
- Developing and implementing an anesthetic plan in discussion with an anesthesiologist and documenting in the CPRS patient file and on the Preanesthetic evaluation and Anesthetic record.
- Initiating the anesthetic technique which may include general, regional, local and sedation.
- Provide direct professional observation and resuscitation until the patient has regained control of his/her functions.
- Performing the postoperative evaluation and physical assessment of postoperative patients and documenting in CPRS and Anesthetic Record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
