The Short Stay Unit/Observation Unit is a 50 bed unit (private rooms), specialized in caring for the adult population with a variety of diagnoses.
Patients can come to our unit from all areas:
Emergency Center, Operating Room, procedural areas, directly from home or from their primary care physician's office. The unit has 20 telemetry beds for patients who require cardiac monitoring. Our specialty is "All Non-Critical Specialties", due to the wide range of diagnosis. Our team works diligently in transitioning our patients to their next care area (home, placement, admission or procedural area).

Scope of work
Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of defined practice.
Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff including specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care.
Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment in order to facilitate staff performance of patient care. Facilitates the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off unit in accordance with established policies and procedures.How we will care for you, while you care for our patients
