    Job Summary:

    Supermicro islooking for a Hardware Debug Engineer to support customer and other internal departments for solving computer system issues. In this role, you will work with other departments to provide solutions for the issues and product quality improvement. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Intel debugging. Experience using Intel Direct Connect Interface (DCI) and Cscripts tool is a plus.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
    • Diagnose the root cause of computer system failures and isolate the components/failure nodes
    • Interface with RD, System teams, and customer support to improve Supermicro products quality
    • Develop and publish test reports and communicate findings to other team members
    • Using software to improve testing techniques / procedures for analyzing system failure data efficiently

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of working experience preferred
    • Proficient in Linux and Windows OS
    • Lab and debug skills are required, including experience working with and analyzing output from test equipment such as digital multi-meter and oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skills
    • Strong problem solving capability
    • Familiar with Intel ITP/DCI and Intel CPUs & Chipset architecture is a plus

    Salary Range

    $78,000 - $117,000

    The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
