    Your Impact

    • We seek a skilled and experienced Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction cost estimating for repairs and new construction.

    Here's What You'll be Doing

    • Create comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects.
    • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
    • Survey potential sites for suitability and associated costs.
    • Verify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope.
    • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
    • Calculate Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) and Least Cost Alternative (LCA).
    • Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
    • Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
    • Consult with clients, vendors, employees, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

    Here's What You Need

    • A minimum of three years of cost-estimating experience in the construction industry.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Relevant and sufficient work experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement.
    • Proficiency in FEMA's Cost Estimating Format (CEF).
    • Familiarity with construction terms and language.
    • Experience with insurance adjustment is a plus.
    • Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and International Existing Building Code (IEBC) is a plus.
    • Proficiency in RS Means, Xactimate, and other cost-estimating software.
    • Excellent analytical and forecasting abilities.
    • Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures.
    • Ability to perform material takeoff.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
