We are seeking an Accounting Services Professional to join our team to:
Handle the day-to-day accounting transactions for clients; including bill pay, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll transactions
Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare monthly journal entries and closing of general ledger
Maintain fixed asset schedules and the chart of accounts
Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the financial condition of the firm's clients, including analysis of results
Timely follow-up with clients for missing information
Prepare client sales tax returns, year-end 1099 returns, and property tax declarations
Assist with special requests and projects as needed
Qualifications
Ability to work independently with expanding duties and responsibilities
Ability to develop relationships with clients and have strong client service
Open to new ideas and a desire to try new technologies and processes
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
Professional looking for a place to build a career
Education and Experience
Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred (or relevant experience)
1-2 years of bookkeeping or related experience
Advanced QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online experience
Proficient with MS Excel, Word & Outlook
Experience with other general ledger packages is a plus
