    Job Description:

    POSITION SUMMARYThe Assistant Nursing Director is a Registered Nurse (RN), who assists with providing 24-hour accountability for patient care, resource and fiscal management of the Medical Surgical & Telemetry departments.

    This position has independent authority to make decisions for the departments which include, but are not limited to, staffing, disciplinary actions, resource and financial allocation.

    Upholds the Nursing Vision Standards by helping develop a cohesive, compassionate, professional nursing staff that is inspired to provide the best quality care to our patients.

    Acts as the Nursing Director in his/her absence.


    POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensure/Certification:
    Current California Registered Nursing (RN)

    License requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredCurrent Advanced Cardiac life Support (ACLS) certification requiredAssociates Degree in Nursing (ASN) requiredBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred*Must meet DMV requirements for management positions at MMCKnowledge:
    Minimum of five years registered nursing experience required.
    Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required.

    Candidates must possess and supply proof of:

    a current CA Driver's License, a clean DMV printout and Auto Insurance coverage with a minimum of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per occurrence (or a combined single limit of $100,000) and property damage coverage in an amount not less than $50,000 per occurrence.
