  • Job Summary The JNC Imaging nurse is involved with the assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The nurse works closely with the assigned physician and technologists to provide direct care to patients, before, during, and after radiology/procedural pain procedures. The nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and responsible for administering medications and providing post procedure education. Wearing lead protective gear and a radiation dosimeter is required in some procedural areas.
  • Job RequirementsEducation Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Preferred: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Experience Preferred Experience: 1-2 years RN experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Leadership ability Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Self-starter and flexible with work schedule Proficient in using computers and computer systems Able to work closely and take direction from supervising physicians Broad knowledge of medical practice Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: RN license active with the State of Missouri Required: BLS obtained within first 90 days of hire Required: ACLS obtained within 1 year of hire
