New Graduates

New registered nurse (RN) graduates benefit from a comprehensive, personalized support system. All RNs in their first nursing role are invited to participate in a Nurse Residency Program alongside nursing orientation. The program provides socialization and support, enhances clinical judgment, and promotes professional development.

This is a 30-bed Acuity Adaptable unit specializes in Ortho/Neuro, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Neurology, Urology, and Trauma. The patient population on this unit will vary from those with hip fractures, stroke, and surgical patients. This unit focuses on building and maintain a strong foundation for acuity level care.

Shift:
Various shift and statuses available

Nursing skills gained on this unit:
Obtain Ortho, stroke, and med/surg certifications
Develop strong bedside skills
Time management & flexibility while managing patients ranging in acuity levels

Recognized by Joint Commission as one of the select number of certified centers for hip and knew placements and as a Primary Stroke Center in the state of Indiana
Named on Healthgrade's top 100 hospitals for joint replacement in 2024

Qualifications

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
